Job Summary
The Community Care Coordinator possesses a genuine commitment to the mission of the Kingdom Global Community Development Corporation (KGCDC), which is to serve, support, and strengthen our communities. This role contributes to this mission by engaging with clients in a compassionate and respectful manner as they seek to navigate the various life concerns they are managing. Providing exceptional client service, effective collaboration, and the expression of empathy are critical components for success. Through these and associated efforts, this role supports the achievement of organizational goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the client intake process, ensuring all relevant data and information is collected in an efficient and precise manner, free from errors.
  • Engage current and potential clients via various communication methods to answer questions and gather and document information from each inquirer as it pertains to their specific situation.
  • Evaluate client and potential client needs; identifying barriers to care, assess available resources, and provide recommendations that will facilitate the best available outcomes and/or plan.
  • Develop or contribute to the development of personalized resource plans, identifying providers, specialists, and/or relevant and available community resources.
  • Collaborate with Community Health Navigator and resource providers to monitor progress towards care and/or status and changes of status to modify resource plans if appropriate.
  • Maintain the appropriate ethical and legal standards as it relates to client information, abiding by all company, local, state, federal, and third-party payer policies and regulations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent education and/or experience
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Detailed-oriented and proficient typing and data entry skills
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and exercise appropriate judgment
  • Ability to prioritize work to effectively meet deadlines
  • Maintain high degree of confidentiality and discretion
  • Prior experience working in a community-based non-profit a plus
  • Bi-lingual or multi-lingual strongly preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 – $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Position Summary
The Food Market Warehouse Manager possesses a genuine commitment to the mission of the Kingdom Global Community Development Corporation (KGCDC), which is to serve, support, and strengthen our communities. This role contributes to this mission by being committed to fighting hunger and improving the quality of life for residents of Prince George’s, Montgomery, and Howard counties in MD.

Primary Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations: Oversees all warehouse operations to ensure efficient and effective processes for food storage and distribution, as well as manage the receipt, inspection, and inventory of incoming food products in adherence to all safety standards.

Inventory Management: Maintains accurate inventory control using software systems (i.e. SmartChoice), conducting regular audits and stock counts to ensure the accuracy of inventory records. In partnership with Food Market Operations Manager, develops and implements inventory replenishment strategies to ensure clients are adequately served.

Resource Management: Ensures all phases of the warehouse are properly equipped and maintained (i.e. adequate space, tools, equipment, supplies, etc.) in line with safety standards to support the operations of the food market. Partners with Food Market Operations Manager to optimize the layout of the warehouse to improve efficiency, and devise waste-reduction strategies, standards, and protocols.

Collaboration: Regularly partner with internal Kingdom Cares Center (KCC) staff, to include Hub Coordinator, KCC Associates, and volunteers. Maintains solid relationships with vendors and providers to coordinate logistics and supply chain execution, and high standards of product quality.

Compliance and Safety: Ensures compliance with all health and safety guidelines and regulations, including food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and machine operations. Promptly remediates or recommends remediation to any exposure to potential failures and/or risks of non-compliance.

Qualifications

H.S. Diploma and 3+ years experience in warehouse management and/or logistics, preferably in the food services industry.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced, team environment.

Ability to translate data into meaningful reports to inform decisions.

Has a passion for and commitment to serving the community.

Desired Qualifications

Bi- or multi-lingual.

Previous experience working in a community-based non-profit environment.

Working Environment

Position Summary
The Food Market Manager possesses a genuine commitment to the mission of the Kingdom Global Community Development Corporation (KGCDC), which is to serve, support, and strengthen our communities. This role contributes to this mission by being committed to fighting hunger and improving the quality of life for residents of Prince George’s, Montgomery, and Howard counties in MD. This role serves as the face of day-to-day food operations and ambassador to and within the community.

Primary Responsibilities

Client Engagement: Works with a diverse set of constituents to help navigate the food market and ensure a positive client experience. This includes engagement with and within the communities we serve to understand their needs and devise plans and strategies to address.

Team Leadership: Provides coaching and guidance to market staff and volunteers. Regularly seeks to engage team members through training and soliciting feedback on market operations to continuously improve operations and processes. Identifies opportunities to increase engagement by creating an environment that drives satisfaction in serving community.

Operations: Developing and managing projects and initiatives in support of food procurement and reporting for the market. This includes but is not limited to building and managing relationships with area food banks, food recovery organizations, wholesale suppliers, etc.

Inventory Management: Ensures that records associated with food, supplies, and equipment are accurate so that our goals of meeting the needs of the community are accomplished. Implements the appropriate systems and tools in support of accurate records and accounting of goods and services provided.

Donor Relations: Partners with KGCDC leadership to identify and grow relationships with organizations who are aligned with our mission and whom strategic partnerships can be built.

Compliance and Safety: Ensures compliance with all health and safety guidelines and regulations, including food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and machine operations. Promptly remediates any exposure to potential failures and/or risks of non-compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience in Business, Management, Operations, or similar field.

Experience managing in a food market, retail, or customer service environment.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Demonstrated ability to work autonomously or within a team in a fast-paced environment.

Has a passion for and commitment to serving others.

Ability to analyze and interpret data to project outcomes and make decisions.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
