How can I make an appointment for the Fresh Food Market?

You can make an appointment 3 ways:  

  • call the Kingdom Care Center at (need KCC phone number and dedicated mailbox) 
  • Or text the keyword “Market” to 240-201-3300 

How to Create an Account on SignUpGenius  

  1. Open your browser and visit signupgenius.com/register. 

Choose Your Registration Method: 

  1. With Email: Enter your email address and create a password. 
  1. With Facebook: Click the Facebook button and follow the instructions to connect your account. 

.Complete Your Profile Information: 

  1. Fill in the required fields, such as your name and any other necessary information. 

Done!: 

  1. You now have an account on SignUpGenius! You can manage your appointments and events, and even cancel them if needed. 
Can I make more than one appointment a week?

Appointments can be made once every 16 days. If you schedule an appointment prior to the 16 day period, the system will cancel the appointment.  

Will I receive confirmation of my appointment?

Yes. Confirmation emails are sent by SignUp Genius after the appointment is submitted, please check your Junk email box if you are unable to locate your confirmation.  

Will I receive a reminder for my appointment?

You may receive a courtesy reminder text message the day prior to your appointment to the phone number that was recorded in SignUp Genius. 

Do I need to bring certain documents with me for my first appointment? If so, what documents should I bring?

Acceptable Documentation:  

  • Current Picture Identification – Passport, Driver’s License, CASA Card, School Identification, or Residency Card 
  • Capital Area Food Bank Card (if assigned) 
What documents are accepted to determine my residence?

Acceptable Documentation:  

  • Current Motor Vehicle Registration 
  • Current Utility Bill, Rent Statement, Phone Bill, or piece of mail that states your name, address and date from current month or last month 
  • Current Lease that has wet ink signatures  
Am I allowed to shop for food at the Montgomery County Locations?

No. You are allowed to participate in the Montgomery County food distributions if you are a resident of East Montgomery County Only. Residency verification is required 

How often can I shop at the Fresh Food Market?

 You can shop at the market once every 16 days utilizing your assigned points  

What are points and how often are the points updated?

Points are assigned to each registered household at the time of registration. The points assigned must be used at your designated shopping time. After checkout points will be refreshed in 16 days 

What are the days/hours of the Market?

We are open every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 8am3pm.

How many families can I shop for?

Capital Area Food Bank Cards are assigned to the primary shopper of the household. You are able to shop for as many items as your household needs and points you are assigned.  

If I don’t use all my points, will they roll over to the following month?

No. Points do not rollover.
