We Rise Together: What's Next?
The 2026 EEIC Summit on June 6th at Kingdom Fellowship in Calverton, Maryland exceeded expectations. The conversations were honest. And for everyone who showed up and gave their Saturday, the consensus was the same: it was well worth it.
IN THE ROOM
Calling, Competence, and Courage: Aligning Faith With Vocation met people exactly where they are navigating a stretch of unemployment, stuck in work that no longer fits, or simply ready to pursue something more aligned with who they actually are. The question the session kept returning to what am I actually called to do next? is one a lot of us are sitting with. The room leaned in.
Our speakers brought depth and candor. Orlando Ashford spoke from the experience of building at the highest levels and genuinely wanting to see this community do the same. Hakimu Davidson brought 16+ years of executive search expertise and a family legacy rooted in the civil rights movement. And Dr. Alicia Hodge, licensed psychologist and founder of Wellness Reimagined, asked the question that rarely makes conference agendas: how do you sustain yourself through this? Her session was a reminder that clarity about who you are has to come before clarity about where you’re going. That idea didn’t stay in the room it carried through the rest of the day.
THE MOMENTUM EXPERIENCE
After the last plenary, the summit activated into something harder to describe. The Momentum Experience opened three hands-on zones and what happened first was unexpected: people couldn’t stop talking. The organic conversations happening throughout the room were so alive that most attendees never wanted to leave them. That’s not a problem. That’s the whole point.
The live financial scenario game and the pitch lab with real expert feedback drew energy and conversation well after the session closed. The professional headshot studio gave community members navigating unemployment something practical: a current, professional photo at a moment when it matters.
WHAT COMES NEXT?
The Summit opened doors. ClearPath is one of the most important ones to walk through.
Dr. Hodge reminded us that sustaining yourself through transition requires more than motivation it requires structure, support, and clarity about who you are. That’s exactly what ClearPath, EEIC’s new 8-week career coaching program, was built to provide.
ClearPath begins where that session ended: with the whole person. Before strategy, before résumés, before the job search we start with clarity. It’s free, it’s structured, and it’s led by credentialed coaches who have been through this and helped others through it. The pilot cohort begins August 8, and space is limited.
Applications are only open until July 10th.
